Aligning with Nature can help us lead a more satisfying and meaningful life.
Accept how it all is!
The self-same sunshine that we ardently await in biting winter is anathema in scorching summer months. With civilisation humans have made themselves fragile and delicate. In contrast, animals and plants are more tolerant. Affinity with Nature and behaving the way Nature warrants, imparts them greater capabilities to adjust and withstand vagaries of Nature. Learning from Nature to shed reservations, demurs and grievances can help us lead more relaxed and carefree life.
Ocean-like ego of man: A minuscule increase in penetration or duration of Sun rays, especially in equatorial regions can wreak havoc on earthlings: extreme heat, shrilling cold or torrential rains. Such is man’s smallness & vulnerability in the scheme of Nature.
Of the 100 billion-plus stars in our Milky Way alone, our Sun is just an average star. But man is perennially under illusion about of his ‘grand’ stature. He often asks those around him, “Do you know, who I am?” Human life is but a drop but his ego is so ocean-like despite knowledge that his exit date from earth is confirmed.
Man’s ‘invited’ miseries: Deliberate insulation from Nature disables him to lead an uninhibited life partaking of Nature’s beauties and abundance. The diminishing tolerance of man to withstand adverse weather conditions is reflected in nervousness when AC becomes dysfunctional. Remember, not long back when middle class, then unable to afford AC, were not so fidgety when fan did not work due to power breakdown.
From primaeval times, man knew Sun as an exclusive, infinite source of energy informing and sustaining each part & parcel of the entire universe though didn’t appreciate it. A mysterious, natural force literally and figuratively illuminating the world around us, it represents hope, power, clarity, renewal, awakening and spiritual upliftment. NASA’s book Mysteries of the Sun at best unravels some aspects of how Sun impacts our body, mind, wellness and environment in the world. After all, it is an entity beyond human understanding.
Don’t curse Sun for its transitorily diminishing stance of cold. In summer months, we witnessed prayers in churches, temples and mosques for its harshness, rather provide respite. Better do in earnest what you can for environment, for sustainable future. Forster no grudge against Sun. It must be understood that man is just a tiny unit in scheme of Nature which has its own plan that must be accepted. Mind also that what inheres in Sun and within you is one and the same. All its hues and shades deserve our utmost esteem.
